Hi, I’m Diego Estebo — an illustrator and graphic designer based in Galicia, in the northwest of Spain.
My background includes years working in studios and agencies, as well as exhibiting my work as an abstract artist across Spain, Portugal, Italy, India, Bolivia, and Argentina. All of these experiences have shaped the way I create: with intention, adaptability, and a deep love for visual storytelling.
These days, most of my work centers on editorial illustration for books, magazines, and cultural projects. I’ve had the chance to collaborate with publishers like Pow! Kids Books, Xerais, Xordica, Galaxia, and RAUM Italic, bringing together visual impact and clear communication in every piece.
My illustration style is built around bold, organic shapes, handmade textures, and vibrant contrasts. I enjoy moving fluidly between different tones and formats — from playful children’s books to thoughtful cultural pieces — always aiming to create images that feel honest, expressive, and memorable.
Drawing has always been a natural way for me to connect with the world — probably because my mother made sure I always had a pencil in hand. I’m a restless person who finds it hard to sit still for long, which probably explains why my brain thrives when juggling visual ideas. And yes, I’m almost always whistling while I work.
